Treehouse 7th Anniversary Show: A Benefit for New Orleans

The final lineup has been pretty much set for the Treehouse Records 7th Anniversary Party on Friday, April 4th, at the Turf Club in St. Paul. Performing at this year’s benefit concert will be PAUL METZGER, THE HYPSTRZ (with special guest BUZZ BARKER), VAMPIRE HANDS and CHOOGLIN’.

This will be a fund-raising endeavor to benefit Common Ground Relief's various community projects located in the poorest & most devastated areas of New Orleans. ALL proceeds from this event will be donated to Common Ground. To learn more and/or to make an on-line, tax deductible contribution, go here:

We are asking for a $10-$20 donation, but we will let anybody in who is willing to throw down a $5 minimum cover.

Treehouse Records is located at 2557 Lyndale Ave. S., Mpls. MN 55405. Our phone number is 612-872-7400.

The Turf Club is located at 601 University Ave. W., St. Paul MN 55104. Their phone number is 651-647-0486.

We are very excited about the lineup this year. We are even MORE pleased that these bands and this venue are helping Treehouse Records to try to do our small part in trying to help rebuild a city which we--unlike our current administration--dearly love, with all of our hearts. Despite what certain people would like to have you believe, things are still a major mess in the Crescent City. The New Orleans that the national media shows you on Bourbon Street and at the Superdome might be back to something approaching “business as usual,” but for the longtime residents of this city—some of whose family histories stretch back for one or two centuries—living in New Orleans is a major struggle at best or--as is the case for far too many families--a fiscal impossibility.
